Our History

SCALE Ag Services, LLC (SCALE) was started in 2006 after Wes Richins resigned from Agriliance, a company he had been employed by as location manager in Las Cruces/Vado since 1989. Our name is derived from the first letters of each of Wes’s sons names: Clay, Sean, Evan, Alec, and Levi. We are built around family and hold the values of integrity, honesty, humility, and service at the core of everything we do.

The early days of SCALE consisted of marketing fertilizer and other ag related products wholesale to
growers in the Southwest and Mexico. Most of this business was driven by commodity prices and was
highly susceptible to market changes. In 2013, SCALE’s product line and business model had matured as we became a distributer of alfalfa seed. micro-nutrients, and soil amendments. Our product lines have always been driven by the grower, and we strive to provide the best solutions to growers as new and challenging issues arise. In March of 2018 we moved to our permanent location on the West Mesa of Las Cruces, NM. This new facility allowed us to grow our custom liquid blending services and extend our reach beyond just Southern New Mexico.

Though originating in New Mexico, we have grown to sell in Arizona, Southern California, and Western Texas. Our goal is to be a problem solving resource for growers as well as provide the absolute best products in order to maximize growers yields and profits.

Our headquarters is located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Though partnerships with other independent agronomists and sales companies we are able to service all New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, West Texas, and Southern California.
